Wineglass Bay, Tasmania

I’ve been told the reason it’s named Wineglass Bay isn’t solely because it's shaped like a wineglass. Apparently whalers used to butcher their catches in the bay which would turn the water red, so it was like a glass of red wine. Too much information?
