Wedge-tailed eagles are always a hard shot to get, at least an up-close one. Easy to get a shot of them from a distance as they're flying away from you because that's what they seem to do most. I've only been lucky a couple of times out of the hundreds of times I've seen them as I drive around the country. This time was in outback South Australia and, for whatever reason, he was just a little slow taking off and I managed a quick shot through the open window as I was slowing the car down, having kept an eye on him from further down the road. They're amazing to watch if you can get close to them.
