LaTrobe St, Melbourne
This one was all about timing. The sun had to be shining, it had to be shining at just the right time, the tram had to be in the right spot while the sun was in the right spot and, last but far from least, the intersection had to be free of traffic, which wasn’t going to be easy considering I had to shoot it during peak hour. Because of all that it took two weeks and numerous attempts before it all came together. Then when I had the shot it didn’t look as good as I’d imagined until I took the colour out of the background, which not only highlighted the tram even more, it seemed to suit the period of the old tram. Similar tram image here.
