I’m not a morning person so it’s always a struggle to get out of bed for dawn shots. But the forecast was for a clear, sunny morning and I’d been waiting for just those conditions to get a particular shot I wanted so I got up, grabbed my gear and headed out into ... a lot of fog and no sun. It was like seeing a different city; the soft light, the limited visibility. I was riding along the river bank when I was struck by the colours and gentleness of this scene. It’s not the shot I had in mind at the start of the day but it’s one I’m very happy I got out of bed for.
