Not something you get to see every day. I was at home forgetting it was even going on when my assistant Bree texted me to go out and shoot this incredible sky. So I did. The aurora is a natural electrical phenomenon characterised  by the appearance of streamers of reddish or greenish light in the sky, especially near the northern or southern magnetic pole. The effect is caused by the interaction of charged particles from the sun with atoms in the upper atmosphere. In northern and southern regions it is respectively called Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights and Aurora Australis or Southern Lights. If you like this image, send Bree a thanks.

Shot by the Wimmera River in Dimboola on May 11th, 2024.

Image ID: 1147

Note: Prints come rolled in acid free tissue paper inside a heavy-duty mailing tube (signature is required upon delivery).

These print sizes - A3, A2, A1 and AO - are designed to fit off-the-shelf, standard, ready-made frames, making them relatively quick, easy and inexpensive to get up on the wall.

If you have any questions about different sizes, canvas or aluminium prints, the images themselves or anything else, I'm always available through the contacts page.
